What Is Zone 2?
Zone 2 is a personalized, moderate-intensity training range based on your heart rate and fitness level.
Because everyone's fitness and heart rate response are different, your Zone 2 range may not be the same as someone else's.
That's where ZoneFinder comes in.
What Is ZoneFinder?
ZoneFinder helps identify your personal Zone 2 range.
Instead of relying only on an age-based formula, ZoneFinder uses multiple signals to better understand your individual fitness level, including:
- Reads heart-rate curve, RPE, breathing pattern, and training history
- Builds a range specific to your physiology — not your age group
- Cross-checks signals. If something looks off, it flags it instead of guessing
- Updates quietly session by session as your fitness evolves
- Shows confidence level and source
ZoneFinder provides your personalized Zone 2 lower and upper heart rate boundaries (BPM) and continues learning as you train.
How Do ZoneFinder and Zone 2 Work Together?
Simply put:
Zone 2 is your training target.
ZoneFinder helps find that target for you.
ZoneFinder analyzes your available data and training performance to estimate where your personal Zone 2 sits.
As you continue training, your ZoneFinder results can become more refined and may adjust as your fitness improves.
How Does ZoneFinder Find Your Zone 2?
ZoneFinder works in four simple steps.
1. Start With Your Profile
ZoneFinder begins with information such as:
- Age and weight
- Fitness level
- Resting heart rate
A 7–14 day resting heart rate baseline may also be used when available.
2. Learn From Your Training
ZoneFinder analyzes how your body responds during exercise, including:
- Heart rate
- Effort
- Performance
3. Find Your Zone
ZoneFinder estimates your personal Zone 2 range and provides:
- Lower and upper BPM boundaries
- Confidence level
- Information about the data used
4. Keep Learning
Every training session can help refine your ZoneFinder results.
As your fitness changes, your Zone 2 range can continue to adjust—no repeated full assessment is required.
