Log in to the router management interface
Open a web browser and enter your router’s default IP address, commonly 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, or 10.0.0.1.
Enter the username and password. If you haven’t changed them, the default is usually admin/admin or admin/password, depending on the manufacturer.
Access the wireless settings
After logging in, locate the “Wireless” or “Wi-Fi” settings, usually found in the top menu or sidebar.
Select the 2.4GHz band
Some routers allow separate settings for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.
If both bands are available, select 2.4GHz.
Ensure that the 2.4GHz band is enabled.
If you only want to use 2.4GHz, you may disable 5GHz. If you want to keep both, just make sure 2.4GHz remains enabled.
Save your settings
Click “Save” or “Apply”. Some routers may take a few seconds to a few minutes to update.
Reconnect your devices
After saving, your devices may need to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
Note: The steps above are general guidelines. Router interfaces vary by brand and model, so it’s best to consult your router’s manual or search online for instructions specific to your device.
